LL.M. One Year Post-Graduation Course

The University offers LL.M One Year Post Graduation Course with specialisation in the area of Business Law and Criminal Law. Admissions to Post Graduate Programme are through the Common Law Admission Test conducted under the aegis of the CLAT Consortium.

Note:-

# Only those OBC candidates can claim reservations under this category whose parental income is less than the prescribed sum for the creamy layer. Such candidates have to produce a requisite certificate from a competent authority to the effect that their parents at present do not come under the creamy layer category.

* 50% of Seats are horizontally reserved for candidates having domicile certificates of the State of Madhya Pradesh in the respective categories including the General Category. In the category of Other Backward Classes, 4 out of 7 seats shall be reserved for the candidates having domicile certificates of State of Madhya Pradesh. In General Category 13 out of 25 seats shall be reserved for the candidates having domicile certificate of State of Madhya Pradesh.

  • Horizontal Reservation

  1. (a) 30% seats are horizontally reserved for women candidates.
  2. (b) 5% seats are horizontally reserved for especially abled persons (Person with Disability)
  3. (c) 5% seats are horizontally reserved for the candidates of M.P. domicile under the category son/grandson/daughter/granddaughter of Freedom Fighter, and wards of War Martyr of Defence Personnel and permanently Disabled Personnel of the Indian forces/dependent children of the Ex-Servicemen of CRPF/Indian Army.
  • Seat Conversion

If the seats of the reserved category (SC, ST, OBC) lie vacant due to the non-availability of suitable candidates/students, then they shall be filled up from candidates/students from the unreserved General Category.

FACULTY-STUDENT RATIO

The current faculty-student ratio is 1:26. The University intends to have a faculty-student ratio of 1:20 by the beginning of the next academic year.
The University aims to focus on law in practice and provide practical training to the students to ensure that they have adequate skills developed when they venture out into professional life.

SCHOLARSHIP

Candidates can avail of various scholarships provided by the M.P. State, Other States and Central Government of India. Under the M.P. State Government, there are various scholarships such as Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Yoyna, Mukhya Mantri Jankalyan Yojna, Pratibha Yojna, Goan Ki Beti Yojna, Pratibha Kiran Yojna and schemes for OBC, SC and ST candidate that can be availed by the candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh. Candidates belonging to other states can also avail themselves of the scholarships as per the rules and regulations of their respective states. Besides these, candidates can also avail themselves the scholarships sponsored by the Central Government of India.

FINANCIAL AID

The University is mindful of the students who may not meet the requisite criteria for availing of scholarships offered by the Government. Hence, the University offers merit cum mean financial aid to the needy students of DNLU.
