Vice Chancellor Message

Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the year 2018, by Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act 24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a University for imparting value-based legal education to undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. The University has also other objectives as set out in the Act. The Vice Chancellor joined the University on 1st July, 2021.

The Vice-Chancellor intends that this University while promoting the vision as laid down in the Act, would emerge as a unique institution for imparting legal education which is socially relevant and professionally competent. The Univesity has a well-developed curriculum which will help in moulding its students to become not only competent law graduate but in developing an all-round personality to undertake any challenge in life. Research Centres

The University has established focussed research centres as a formally structured unit within the university, other than a department, with the purpose of advancing scholarly activity primarily through collaborative research, research training, research dissemination and creative endeavours. These Centres typically involve activities beyond the scope of single discipline and promote interdisciplinary research work and innovations.










A University’s library is a mirror of its academic depth and intellectual endeavours. The constant urge for grasping and disseminating knowledge is an invariable motto of Dharamshastra National Law University and the University continues to work upon this motto with all his conviction. This is the reason that within a small span of time the University’s library has been able to form a collection of unparallel books and journals. The fully wifi premise of the library is conducive for reading and research purposes with a helpful staff to facilitate student learning.  DNLU Library is not only the repository of knowledge but also the dispenser of the knowledge and believes.  It has a wide range of academic resources such as books, periodicals, online periodicals, legal databases, back volumes CDs/DVSs. etc. The DNLU Library comprises of a Central Library and collectively supports the teaching & research programmes of the Institute.
