Utkarsh K. Mishra is an alumnus of NLU, Odisha from where I pursued B.A (Economics), LL. B (Hons.). I did LL.M from NLU, Jodhpur, with specialization in International Trade and International Investment Laws. I was awarded with the Nani A. Palkhivala Memorial Gold Medal and Milon Kumar Banerjee Gold Medal for academic excellence in my post graduate studies. I have qualified UGC NET in Law and prior to joining this University, I taught at HPNLU, Shimla in both UG & PG courses. Prior to that, I worked at CUTS International, Jaipur, India, in the Centre for International Trade, Economics and Environment as a Research Associate (Law) where I worked on various assignments of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.  I am currently pursuing a Ph. D in the area of International Trade Law from NALSAR, Hyderabad. I have published articles and research papers in both national and international journals/book publications and have attended several national and international conferences, seminars, short term courses. My areas of research and teaching interests include Contract Law, International Trade Laws, International Investment Laws, Legal Methods, Jurisprudence, Critical Legal Studies, Private International Law, International Commercial Arbitration, International Contracts and Critical Contract Law etc. My teaching pedagogy combines the conceptual understanding of the subject with critical approaches. At DNLU, I am also discharging the responsibilities as the Faculty-in-charge of the Internship and Placement Cell and as the Director of the Research Centre for Studies in International Trade and Investment Laws.  Apart from academic interests, listening to semi-classical Indian music and singing remain my deepest passions. I teach courses of  Law of Contracts, Legal Methods at UG level and International Trade Law, Private International Law Law at PG level.
