Bio

Dr. Vimal Kumar Vishwakarma is an Assistant Professor of English at Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur. He received an M.A. in English from Government Mahakoushal Autonomous Arts and Commerce College Jabalpur in 2007. He earned PGDTE (Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English) and M.Phil. in English with a specialization in Linguistics and Phonetics from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. He has been awarded a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in Phonetics by LNMU, TKT by the University of Cambridge, UK, and an International TESOL Diploma by American TESOL Institute, US. He did a course on Corpus Linguistics from Lancaster University, UK, and IELTS from the British Council, UK. He also did a course on English as a Medium of Instruction for Academics Offered by the University of Southampton, UK, and a course on Teaching for Success: The Classroom and The World from British Council, UK. Besides, he has experience of more than 9 years of teaching at SMGPC Lucknow and RPSGOI, Mahendergarh (HR). He has many national and international publications to his credit and attended and presented many research papers at national and international conferences. His areas of academic interest include Phonetics, Sociolinguistics, ELT, and Communication.
